Privacy Policy Conditions of Alu-Scout^®

The protection of your privacy is of the greatest importance to us. With the following statement on privacy policy we want to demonstrate to you that we will treat your personal data in a responsible and trustworthy manner. As the operator of Alu-Scout^®, Alu-M.^® AG ensures that the collection and processing of personal data are conducted strictly in accordance with the requirements of the Swiss data protection legislation in force at the time.

A. Collection of personal data

You can access many of the pages of Alu-Scout^® without providing us with any personal information whatsoever. You have to register if you wish to become a member of Alu-Scout^®; this enables you to access services reserved for members and to enjoy other benefits. In this case we ask you to provide a little information about yourself. At a later date you can see, and if necessary expand or update, the data you have provided by going to your personal “My Alu-Scout” at any time. This ensures that you have complete control over your personal data. We do not record or search for any other personal information about you. If your membership is terminated, we irrevocably delete all personal information about you. Your personal data are stored and used exclusively by Alu-M.^® AG and are not passed on to third parties unless other expressly statements are made. We intend to send you information about Alu-Scout^® and the products and services we offer that we think might be of interest to you, either by post or e-mail. If you do not wish to receive such information, you can advise us accordingly at any time and you will not receive any further information.

B. Collection of data on members for statistical purposes

In order to ensure that the contents and services of Alu-Scout^® are in keeping with actual demand, we collect statistical data on demography and the activities of visitors and members from registrations and server log files. In this way we can ascertain which pages are visited frequently and which services are used, and thus continually improve them. All data are collected in such a way that it is no longer possible to identify the specific individual. If they are published at all, the user statistics are only published in a form that has been rendered anonymous and in a legally permitted manner.

C. Security of personal data

We use a range of different security technologies and procedures to protect your personal data from unauthorised access and misuse. Your data are stored on a specially protected server located in Switzerland.

D. Personal responsibility

You should be aware that any information you make public voluntarily, either via e-mail or in the Alu-Scout^® forums, can be collected and used by others. We cannot control the actions of visitors to Alu-Scout^® or of its members.

By using Alu-Scout^® you agree to us collecting and using information in accordance with these privacy policy conditions the terms and conditions for our services. Alu-M.^® AG reserves the right to change these conditions at any time without prior notice in accordance with the requirements of data protection legislation.
